The specialist e-commerce market in Indonesia is on the rise, and recently it has seen the arrival of a luxury e-commerce venture created by one of Indonesia’s biggest travel agencies, Smailing Tour. The newly (and quietly) launched website is Bobobobo, which offers unique, luxury experience packages for travel and city jaunts, as well as some luxury items. So far the site is open for invitees only.

Aside from its quirky name, Bobobobo has so far acquired quite a few high-end partners for its three main offerings; travel, city treats, and shopping. For its city treats category, Bobobobo partners with Ismaya Group, a big player in the premium food and beverage industry in Indonesia. Judging by the price tags on Bobobobo, it is definitely looking to target people with deep pockets.

Looking over the travel section on Bobobobo, the site offers diverse packages such as romantic holidays, culinary adventures, and weekend getaways. There’s also the option for users simply to book hotels. I personally find the agenda available on each travel package a valuable reference for those looking to prepare their own holidays in similar destinations.

For the treats section, Bobobobo lets people make bookings online for its listed offerings. The ones available right now include restaurants, yoga classes, and hair salons. The last section, shopping, offers various product categories like lingerie, shoes, and designers’ collections.

There aren’t a lot of luxury e-commerce sites popping up in Indonesia. One other player in Indonesia’s online luxury market is Reebonz, which started out in Singapore. The latter company received a $40 million funding boost just last month.
